I'm a blessed but busy SAHM of 3 littles (Jackson Bird age 6, and Levi Bug age 4, and Abie Jay, 3 months old). Other than enjoying my family, I direct the student ministry at our local church. And even though I'm currently taking a break, I've taught middle school for 7 years, and working with youth is still a passion!
This blog is about mothering 3 littles while juggling life's other demands. It's about the day-to-day joys and challenges. Its' a catalog of the funny things my kiddies say and the crazy things they do. It's stories about the motherhood moments I cherish and those I'd like to forget. It's about loving my husband, even on days when I'd like to kill him. It's about sharing the things in life that work for me, and those that don't. Most of all, it's about worshiping God in the midst of bottles, spit-up, laundry, and legos. It's sometimes about thriving, and sometimes about simply surviving.
I share these stories for several reasons:
1. To keep me from forgetting. Years later, I want to remember these days that seem like a blur now. The days are long, but the years are short.
2. To share our daily lives with out-of-town family and friends.
3. To encourage other mothers. You're not alone in this crazy, hard, yet wonderful motherhood thing!
So that's it. Nothing fancy. Hope these true stories from our family bring you smiles and even a chuckle every once in a while.
This is us! Levi needed a family picture to take to his Pre-k class, so this is our family pic. I of course needed a shower and a good night's sleep, but hey. Whatever. |
And these are the crazy Burns Brothers pictured at the beach, summer of 2016. Jackson is 6, Levi is 4. |
And this is Abigail Jean, born May of 2016. We call her Abie Jay. She is the happiest baby E.V.E.R. |
